In this Glow TV event, Janie McManus, Assistant Director, Education Scotland, will provide an introduction to the Scottish Attainment Challenge.

Launched in 2015 by the First Minister, the Scottish Attainment Challenge aims to raise the attainment of children and young people living in deprived areas, in order to close the equity gap and to increase attainment overall. Education Scotland is putting in place a team of Attainment Advisors to support the Challenge in each local authority area.

During the session, the Attainment Advisors from Inverclyde and City of Edinburgh Councils will discuss literacy and numeracy projects planned for their authorities.
